The Paradox of Zenon

The design for my IKEA chair incorporates 2 pyramids: one on the seat of the chair and one on the back. In manipulating the colours, the shadow effect is explored.
I was inspired by geometric prisms and optical illusions. I chose the pyramid as the principal form to create a general illusion of a tunnel.
I really enjoyed the freedom I had in coming up with this design. In addition, the fact that I could win money for our Fashion and Design program was also a big motivator. I am very attached to the three dimensional theme since geometric art is of big interest to me.
